FootActive Nature and Nature Plus Hiking Insoles

Ideal for getting back in touch with the great outdoors, FootActive Nature and Nature Plus Hiking Insoles insoles that are specifically designed for hiking and specialise in ankle alignment. The insoles are available as 3/4 length (Nature) and full length (Nature Plus) options, allowing you to find the insoles that best suit your needs.

How Do FootActive Nature Insoles Work?

Developed by podiatrists, the FootActive Nature and Nature Plus Insoles are FootActive's speciality hiking insoles. They are effective at reducing pronation (ankle and foot rotation) while hiking to prevent injury and reduce strain on the feet and lower legs.

As well as keeping your feet aligned, the Nature Hiking Insoles feature a leather topped design. This is perfect for retaining comfort throughout a long hike, without sacrificing the support your feet need across diverse terrain.

Which Size is Right for Me?

To find your perfect size of insoles, simply match your shoe size to the table below. If you require a more personal fit for your insoles, it is possible to carefully trim the top edge of the insoles.

Size UK Shoe Size

Small Size 5 - 6.5
Medium Size 7 - 8.5
Large Size 9 - 10.5
Extra Large Size 11 - 13

What is the Difference Between the Nature and Nature Plus Insoles

FootActive Nature Insoles are 3/4 length, whereas Nature Plus Insoles are full length. The Nature Plus provides more comprehensive coverage but it is not a simple case of the Plus being the "better" insole.

As a 3/4 length insole the Nature is ideal for slip on shoes, narrower shoes and sandals. Since it is a full length insole the Plus is limited to lace-up shoes. At the same time, by covering the front of the foot, the plus is able to provide support to the ball of the foot and metatarsals that is unavailable in a shorter insole.

Features and Benefits of the FootActive Nature Insoles

  • Made from a medium density, light weight EVA material to prevent the insoles from weighing down your boots or shoes during long walking periods
  • Cushioning Durapontex material for comfort over long periods on your feet
  • Strong arch support and deep heel cup provide foot long alignment and help to prevent pronation
  • Shock absorbing heel pad maximises comfort and prevents injury while walking
  • Built in arch support and metatarsal raise contribute to robust mid-foot support
  • Leather top layer offers the best comfort and allows your foot to feel at home within the shoe
  • Easily trimmed by scissors to help you achieve a perfect fit

What Are the Additional Features of Nature Plus Insoles

Because the Nature Plus insoles are full length they cover the whole foot and provide:

  • Additional support to the ball of the foot
  • Additional support to the metatarsals

What Activities are the Nature and Nature Plus Insoles Designed for?

These insoles have been specially designed by Australian podiatrists to for walking and hiking and they fit excellently within walking and hiking boots. Moreover, while the Nature Plus offers more comprehensive coverage, the 3/4 length Nature Insole fits comfortably in an even wider range of shoes, including sandals.

What Differentiates Nature Insoles from Other Insoles?

Nature and Nature Plus Insoles offer some of the best support available in an insole. The shock absorbing heel reduces the risk of impact while the arch support prevents injury and helps to strengthen weak or collapsed arches.

At the same time, the leather top-layer of these insoles is both durable and comfortable, and maintains the feel of a good quality walking boot while providing more effective support.

What is Pronation?

Pronation is the inward rolling of the ankle or foot. Some degree of pronation occurs in the natural walking, but over pronation can have negative effects beyond the feet. It can contribute to knee pain and shin splints, as well as other lower leg problems. Supination is the opposite of pronation (outward rolling of the ankle or foot) and represents similar risks.

Which Conditions Are Nature Insoles Suitable For?

  • Heel pain
  • Heel spurs
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Flat feet
  • Collapsed Arches
  • Achilles tendonitis
  • Pronation
  • Ball of foot pain (Nature Plus only)
  • Metatarsal pain and metatarsalgia (Nature Plus only)

Which Other FootActive Insoles are Available?

There are a remarkable number of FootActive Insoles expertly developed for a range of specific uses and conditions.
