Who Can Use the Infrared Photo Gate?

The Infrared Photo Gate creates a light barrier that can be used for a range of experiments and measurements. For example, it can be used to measure the movement patterns of falling or launched objects, and to determine the amount of time between two moving objects. It can also be used to create a wide-range barrier, but a laser pointer is required for this purpose.

Measure Projectile Speeds with the Projectile Launcher

If you intend to measure projectile speed using this Photo Gate, you can also purchase the Ballistic Projectile Launcher for Projectile Law Experimentation and the Photo Gate Holder for the Projectile Launcher. The Photo Gate can then be mounted to the end of the Projectile Launcher, and will detect the moment the projectile is launched.
