How Does the Axtair One Plus Mattress Alleviate Pressure Sores?

The Axtair One Plus Pressure Relief Mattress provides 24 hour support to bedbound patients. With 18 removable and independent Polyurethane ether cells of 12cm therapeutic air, patients will feel completely comfortable all day long. The 5cm polyether foam base allows for support where needed, as well as flexibility. For more high-risk patients, we recommend the Axtair Automorpho Plus mattresses.

What is The Benefit Of The Winncare Axtair One Plus Mattress Pump?

With an additional 'dynamic' mode, the Winncare Axtair One Plus alternates air-flow between its internal cells, creating continuous inflation pressures according to the patient's morphology. This maximises comfort and alleviates symptoms of bedbound related issues including pain, swelling and poor circulation. In addition, the Winncare Axtair One Plus pump can change seating position, set visual and audible alarms, and indicate for servicing requests. This betters the health and wellbeing of patients, and gives them more autonomy.

What Should Be Used for Patients at Very High Pressure Sore Risk?

Winncare supply a range of mattresses, from light-medium to the highest risk of pressure ulcer development. For very high pressure sore risks, we recommend the Winncare Axtair Automorpho Plus and the Winncare Axtair XXL for bariatric patients.

Is This Product Tested for Fire Safety?

Yes. The Winncare Axtair One Plus complies with fire safety regulations EN 597-1 and 2 GPEM D1 Class D. This means that the product is safe for commercial and professional use. 

Is the Mattress Supplied with a Cover?

Yes. The Winncare Axtair One Plus comes with A Promust CIC Cover: a polyamide mesh coated polyurethane/polycarbonate surface with added silver ions. This results in a surface that is stretchable, breathable, impermeable to liquids and permeable to vapour. In addition, the lower side of the cover is completely non-slip. Together, this cover creates a hardwearing mattress that is low-maintenance, perfect for industry professionals and caregivers, and hygienic: eliminating risk of bacteria, odour and bed ulcers.
