How Does the Alova Pressure Relief Mattress Alleviate Pressure Sores?

The Alova Duo Pressure Relief Mattress consists of viscoelastic foam, providing sufficient support where it is needed to maximise the patient's comfort. This material moulds into the body, adjusting its firmness to avoid pressure in areas at risk of developing bed sores. The integrated heel relief promotes blood flow to the area, increasing whole-body circulation and bettering health overall. This mattress also comes with an 8cm polyether foam base with a density of 28Kg/m3, giving a soft, comforting feel.

The Braden Scale predicts the likelihood of pressure ulcer development in patients. The Alova Duo Pressure Relief mattress is designed for high-risk patients.

What Should Be Used for Patients at Very High Pressure Sore Risk?

Winncare provide a number of mattresses designed for very high pressure sore risks. For patients at very high pressure sore risk, we would recommend any products in Winncare's Dynamic ranges, including the Axtair One Plus or the Axtair Automorpho Plus. For the most intense bed sores, we recommend the Winncare Axtair XXL. 

Is This Product Tested for Fire Safety?

Yes. The Alova Duo Pressure Relief Mattress complies with fire safety regulations EN 597-1 and 2 GPEM D1 90 Class D. This means that the product is safe for use at home, and is compatible with medical beds.

Is the Mattress Supplied with a Cover?

Yes. The Winncare Alova Duo comes with A Promust PU HD cover. This is a black cover that is fully machine washable at 90°C, and can be tumble dried on medium heat for ease of use, maximising hygiene.
