Designed for Fast Application

To facilitate speedy and efficient application of electrodes in emergency situations, the Stat-Padz II utilise a range of features to shave vital seconds off response time. Preconnect saves critical application time, and the Speed Pack reduces cord tangles and fumbling to help maximise speed. To ensure the electrodes are correctly positioned, anatomically-correct diagrams facilitate proper pad placement.

Ensure Conductivity

Should defibrillation be required, the Stat-Padz II feature improved polymer gel. This works to enhance lateral conductivity, resulting in less skin effects. A centre energy feed distributes energy uniformly to reduce edge effect, and a gel sponge backing promotes better skin coupling.

The Zoll Stat-Padz II have a differentiated round front and rectangular back features on the pads which are diagrammed to facilitate proper pad placement.

Arrhythmias cause the heart to beat irregularly or sometimes stop altogether, the most common of which is ventricular fibrillation (VF). 

Sudden Cardiac Arrest occurs when the electrical system of the heart stops working effectively – the heart will unexpectedly stop pumping, when this occurs, blood stops flowing to the heart, brain and other vital organs and within seconds, the victim collapses and becomes completely unresponsive. Death will occur if not treated within the first few minutes.
