What Are the Different Purposes of the Classic Standing Aid?

The MiniLift160 is used for a variety of different purposes. While it is primarily designed as a platform for transferring patients, it is also useful for rehabilitation and general healthcare. For patients recovering from an injury or operation, being able to stand and gently exercise the limbs is a massive help for recovering agility and strength in the muscles and joints.

How Do I Use the MiniLift160?

Mobile and transportable with lockable rear castors, the MiniLift can be brought to the patient to conveniently transfer them from their bed or wheelchair. Using a sling such as the ThoraxSling, wrapped around the waist and then attached to the handlebar, the carer uses the hand control to activate the lift function which elevates the patient to their feet with a natural pattern of movement, safely and comfortably transferring them from a sitting to standing position or vice versa.

How Does Encouraging Patients to Stand Improve Health?

Simply enabling immobile patients to stand for 15 minutes a day, or as long as possible, improves overall fitness, particularly in controlling blood sugar and fat levels as well as lowering the risk of heart disease. If patients can incorporate some physical activity like a walk into their day, this can lower cholesterol and even improve brain health.

Where Can the MiniLift160 Be Used to Transfer Patients?

The MiniLift160 can be revolutionary for patients with mobility issues, because of the way it facilitates a more active lifestyle, providing stimulation and improving physical and mental wellbeing. Used to help patients rise from sitting to standing position so they can be transferred to a wheelchair or car, the Standing Aid significantly widens the range of activities possible for immobile people.
