How Does the Medpage SOS Pendant Work?

The pendant is connected to a GSM phone dialler. The SOS emergency button provides an easy way for the vulnerable wearer to alert a guardian if assistance is required. Pendant activation will automatically trigger the dialler into making telephone calls to nominated phone numbers. It will allow two-way voice calling, ensuring that distant caregivers can send help immediately.

How Do the Two PIR Devices Work?

As well as the SOS pendant, this kit is also supplied with two motion sensor devices. The PIR sensors detect movement in certain areas and triggers an alert that is sent to the caregiver via the smartphone app. This allows you to provide assistance as soon as possible, protecting vulnerable residents who are prone to wandering. These sensors are discreet, and can be mounted to the wall or ceiling in whichever room suits your requirements.

Who Can Use this Call and Alarm Kit?

This affordable daily activity monitoring system allows a distant carer to check on movements throughout the home of a person who may be at risk from falls, not eating or drinking as they should, or leaving the home at odd hours. In this way, it is possible to protect a potential fall or remind the home owner to eat a meal.

Can the System Monitor Areas at Different Times?

The system is set up via a free app for iOS or Android, and allows activity monitoring times to be programmed with detection time parameters. For example you could have a  07.00 to 09.30 hall sensor, or an 11.00 to 12.30 kitchen sensor. Lack of movement detection is notified to your smartphone.

What If the Vulnerable Patient Needs to Use the Pendant At Night?

The pendant can be worn at all times. The call button glows in the dark, ideal for quick and easy use anytime.
