Alerta Crash Mat with Wireless Nurse Call Alert

Designed for those who are prone to bedside falls at night, or even falling from a chair, the Alerta Crash Mat with Wireless Nurse Call Alert will cushion a fall, and has built in features to alert a nurse or carer when connected to the Alerta Wall Point Receiver. A non-slip base on the mat prevents further injury, and is made of easy to clean PU leather.

The Alerta Crash Mat must be used with the Alerta Wall Point Receiver (which is sold separately) to be able to send fall alerts.

What is the Alerta Crash Mat?

As well as minimising fall injury, the Alerta Crash Mat is designed to alert nurses or care home staff of falls using wireless technology. The mat ensures staff or home carers can react quickly should a debilitated patient fall, and that they are not left on the mat undetected for an unknown amount of time.

Who Can Use this Crash Mat?

The Alerta Crash Mat has been designed for elderly or disabled patients who may be prone to nasty falls whilst in bed, or even whilst sitting on a chair. Excellent for care homes, hospital beds, or for use at home, so that you can quickly attend to your loved ones in the event a fall.

How Does the Alerta Crash Mat Work?

Designed with built in sensor pads, and with a Wireless Transmitter included, the Alerta Crash Mat must be connected to the Alerta Wall Point Receiver (sold separately) to give alerts. However, there are two ways that the mat can be connected- 

1. As part of a nurse call system (where you will need the nurse call connection wire shown in the image below)
2. On its own - where you won't require the nurse call connection wire, and the Alerta Wall Point Receiver can be carried around on its own

The volume of the receiver can be deactivated, or adjusted to suit whichever method of operation you opt for.

How Far Can the Signals Reach?

The Alerta Wall Point Receiver has a detection radius of up to 95 metres. The maximum range will depend on the type of building materials and number of obstructions, but should provide more than enough range for the majority of care settings.

Keeping an extra safe environment in care homes or at home is vital when it comes to maintaining the safety of your patients. As the Alerta Crash Mat is a wireless aid, this means no cables will be in the way and cause even more falls, and injury. 

Hygienic Material

Made of PU material, the Alerta is very easy to clean and take care of. Wipe clean the Alerta Crash mat to keep it germ and dirt free, ready for the next user.

What Are the Other Benefits of PU?

PU (polyurethane) leather, is an artificial leather made of thermoplastic polymer, and is much more sustainable than real leather. PU leather is breathable, does not absorb water, and is durable so that you keep caring for your patients for longer.
