Netted Hospital Bed Rail Covers

The Netted Hospital Bed Rail Covers have been designed to prevent a patient's limbs getting caught in bed rails. This is the ideal product when a patient is at risk of limb entrapment but does not need significant padding. These net covers are extremely durable, easy to fit and simple to keep clean.

Please note this product contains a pair of Net Covers suitable for one hospital bed.

Why It's Important to Use Bed Rail Net Covers

A study based on the NPSA’s National Reporting and Learning System (NRLS) estimated 1,250 reports of injuries from striking or trapping limbs in bedrails are made every twelve months from hospitals and mental health units in England and Wales. The Medicines and Health Care Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have had reports of 21 bedrail related deaths from 2000 – 2006. Bed Rail Net Covers are an effective way to stop patients from becoming trapped by bed railings, preventing the majority of the most serious injuries associated with bed railings.

Are Netted Bed Rail Covers Suitable for Profiling Beds?

Absolutely. Net Bumpers are suitable for beds that profile as the bumpers stay in place. If the rails on your bed fold down, please remove your bumper protectors before lowering your rails to avoid damage to either component.

The net covers are not suitable for patients with repetitive or involuntary movement who require cushioning.
