Bauerfeind ValguLoc Bunion Splint

The Bauerfeind ValguLoc Bunion Splint is a stabilising splint for big toe correction. If you're one of the many people who suffer from hallux valgus, better known as a bunion, you'll appreciate the need for a product that can reduce symptoms and relieve pain. A bunion is a bony deformity of the joint at the base of the big toe, which often forces the foot bone to stick outwards. This can result in painful swelling, made worse when wearing shoes, and a regular feeling of discomfort that can affect your daily life.

The ValguLoc Bunion Splint helps combat bunions to give you much needed comfort and pain relief. Designed to be worn at night, the splint holds the toe in the correct position for better toe alignment, and can help prevent or delay the need for surgery, or be used after surgery.

Who Can Use the ValguLoc Bunion Splint?

The Bauerfeind ValguLoc Big Toe Foot Support postural splint is suitable for the correction of a misalignment of the big toe (hallux valgus, bunion) as part of a conservative treatment or after surgery. The anatomically contoured orthosis holds the toe in the correct axis by applying a slight force and stretches shortened parts of the capsule and soft tissues. This is a night time splint and is to be worn without shoes, so you can wear it at home while resting.

The ValguLoc Big Toe Support supports the aligned position of the big toe after surgery or prevents a misalignment from getting worse. The functional design guarantees a great fit, and the correction pressure is continuously adjustable using the Velcro fastening. 

Please note - the splint is not suitable for walking.

I bought this a few weeks ago after the sudden onset of a bunion which caused severe pain day and night. I can say with some confidence that this splint has been extremely helpful in reducing pain and increasing flexibility of the big toe joint. It may look strange but it’s excellent design ensures a comfortable fit. I wear it at night.

I would have given this 5 stars but as I’ve only been using it for just over a week, I felt it was too soon to do so. At the start, it was a bit awkward to use but there are loads of videos online which will sort this problem. I had bunion surgery 8 years ago but recently my big toe became misaligned and painful. This brace has very quickly begun to alleviate the problem. I’m hoping that with prolonged use my toe will fully straighten. I am very pleased with the product and would certainly recommend buying it.

When the product arrive I instantly thought I overpaid and got angry that I didn't get one of the cheaper versions.

I previously had similar splint but leather instead of fabric. My first splint was great but nothing like the Bauerfeind. It literally is a perfect fit. Very simple adjustments to design made this splint comfy (trust me I have big bunion).

Five stars for design, comfort, excellent fit and quality! Five stars to Health and Care for prompt delivery.

Big toe support to avoid bunions

This is very useful for night wear to make the big toe move outwards to avoid a bunion progressing. I have had bunion surgery on my right foot and want to ensure that my left foot doesn't get bad enough to require surgery in the future. The Valguloc is easier to use than other bunion supports I have tried and looks more efficient. I give it 4 stars as I have only just started to use it and it may well merit five stars when I've used it for a steady three months. Thank you.

This is for my daughter who has successfully used this item for the last 18 months. The Service from healthandcare.co.uk was second to none, however although the package arrived very quickly, I was unable to track where it was in the process. Otherwise it was faultless

Big toe support to avoid bunions
