Can I Dissect the Female Pelvis Model?

Some parts on the Female Pelvic Model can be removed and disassembled into two parts, allowing a closer look for more detailed study. The rectum, uterus and fallopian tubes, ovaries, and vagina can be removed and split in half for closer observation.

The whole pelvis can be disassembled through the midsagittal section (running through the fifth lumbar vertebra, sacrum, and coccyx) to reveal part of the Cauda Equina in the vertebral canal. Once split in this way, the right half of the pelvis will show the anatomical arrangement of the common iliac artery, the external and internal artery, the common iliac vein, and the external iliac vein. You will also be able to see the right sacral plexus, sciatic nerve, and pudendal nerve.
