Thirsty Work...

Recently I read an article which a friend had written about ‘happy drinking’ and he wasn’t talking about wine actually he was talking about water. I know that now your thinking how is water interesting.

When any article talks about drinking water I immediately remember the endless news features stating we should drink 2 litres of water a day. (There are lots of water bottles and filters constantly in use in the Health and Care Head Office) but personally I have to remember to keep drinking while remembering that wine and tea are not included in this!

In today's modern world most of us are chronically dehydrated. Our body is up of about 2/3 water, but the trouble is, if we don't drink enough water every day, it doesn't work right. If we are dehydrated enough to feel thirsty, we have already lost 2% of our total body fluid. This can lead to headaches, lack of energy and feeling lightheaded. The body works so much better when its fully hydrated.

If you struggle with drinking water why not challenge yourself for the next two weeks to drink 2 litres a day. After a few weeks of this, your digestion and regularity will improve, muscular and joint related aches and pain will lessen, you'll feel more alert each morning and best of all … it's absolutely free!
