The nurse call floor sensor mat can be placed at the bedside, doorway or any other location to activate the nurse call system when a falls risk resident or patient steps onto the mat.

Read these instructions and the warnings and cautions that follow carefully before using the TreadNought floor mat. Failure to read and follow these instructions and warnings and cautions may result in injury or death to a person in your care or system damage or failure.
- This product is an aid only and may not be suitable for all patients. It is not a substitute for staff vigilance or visual monitoring.
- Test before each use.
- Discard and replace the TreadNought mat one year from the date of first use.
- Apply TreadNought anti-slip mesh material (sold separately) to the underside of the TreadNought floor mat if the floor surface is slippery and the mat slides when stepped on.
- Position the TreadNought cord so that it is not a tripping hazard for the patient, staff, or visitors.
- Clean the TreadNought mat by wiping it off with a clean rag and vinyl-tolerant cleaning solution. Do not immerse.
- Store flat. Do not bend, fold, or roll the TreadNought floor mat.
Setting Up The Treadnought Nurse Call System Floor Sensor Mat
To Set Up the TreadNought Floor Sensor Mat:
- Use a permanent marking pen to record the date of first use in the space provided on the TreadNought floor mat label.
- Place the TreadNought floor mat in the desired monitoring location with the smooth side facing down.
- Position the TreadNought cord so that it is not a tripping hazard for the patient, staff, or visitors.
- Check to see if the mat slides on the floor. If there is any slipping or sliding, use double-sided adhesive tape to apply TreadNought anti-slip mesh material (sold separately) to the underside of the mat.
- Test again for slipping. If the mat continues to slide in that location, move it to another location.
- Insert the TreadNought plug securely into the monitor or call cord receptacle of your nurse call system.
Using the TreadNought Floor Sensor Mat
Always Test Before Each Use:
- Step on the TreadNought floor mat.
- The alert will sound on the monitor or nurse call system.
- Reset the alert.
If the Alert Does Not Sound:
- Check your connections.
- Test again.
- If the alert still does not sound, do not use the mat.
- Contact your sales representative for further assistance.
To Clean the TreadNought Floor Mat:
- Wipe the mat with a clean rag and vinyl-tolerant cleaning solution.
- Do not immerse the mat.
