Aircast Elbow Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff

Whether you are an overly active person or lead a more restful life, elbow pain can come to any of us. The Aircast Elbow Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff is specially designed to treat symptoms of elbow injury such as pain and discomfort. The cuff uses compression and cold therapy to target the injury and provide relief throughout your recovery.

Please note that this product must be used in conjunction with the Aircast Cold Therapy Cooler. For more information on which cooler to buy, please see 'Which Cooler Unit Should I Choose?'.

Who Can Use the Elbow Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff?

The cuff can be used by people to treat a wide range of conditions and injuries. These include:

Does the Cuff Cover the Whole Elbow?

Yes, the cuff is anatomically designed to cover the entire surface area of the elbow.

What Size Should I Choose? 

The cuff comes in a universal size that should fit most adults. 

Which Cooler Unit Should I Choose? 

The Aircast Cryo/Cuff system can be used with either one of two cooler units depending on your needs. Both cooler units offer six to eight hours of gravity-fed compression therapy, but differ in the amount of compression therapy they can provide. The two cooler units are:

How Do I Use the Cryo/Cuff?

For information on how to prepare, apply and use the Cryo/Cuff, please follow these four simple steps: 

Step One: Prepare the Cooler

Before using the cuff, you must prepare the cooler by filling water to the line and topping with ice. Connect the blue tube to the cooler and place the insulation disk on top of the ice before closing the lid. Wait for approximately five minutes for the water to chill, shaking the cooler occasionally. 

Step Two: Apply the Cuff

Position the cuff with the quick disconnect valve facing down and secure using the straps provided. (See figure 1).

Insert arm and slide the cuff over the elbow into place. (See figure 2).

Step Three: Fill the Cuff

Connect the blue tube with the cooler. If using the Standard Cold Therapy Cooler, open the air vent and raise the cooler about thirty-eight centimetres above the cuff. (See figure 3).

Hold for approximately thirty seconds until the cuff is full and close the cooler air vent. Using the metal tab, disconnect the cooler from the cuff to enable uninterrupted treatment. 

Step Four: Rechill Water

Reconnect the blue tube with the cuff, raising the cuff above the cooler to allow it to drain. Allow up to two minutes for the water to chill. Raise the cooler and repeat treatment.

How Long Can I Use the Cryo/Cuff for With Each Treatment? 

You can use the cuff for up to two hours per therapy session. It is recommended that you give a period of at least twenty minutes between each session.

Should I Cover My Skin While Using the Cryo/Cuff?

Yes, you must wrap the skin with a cloth, bandage or something similar before using the cuff. At no point during treatment should the skin and cuff be in direct contact.
