Aircast Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff Cooler

Suffering from an injury can be frustrating and painful, particularly when it begins to hinder your ability to move around and perform your daily activities as normal. The Aircast Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff Cooler Unit is designed for use with Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff wrap systems. This unit provides targeted cold therapy and compression to the affected area to ease discomfort and swelling.

Please note: This model of the Aircast Cryo/Cuff Cooler is solely powered by gravity, as opposed to the Aircast Automatic Cold Therapy IC Cooler, which has a motor that connects to mains power. For more information, we've written a handy blog on the differences between the two.

Who Can Use the Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff Cooler?

The Cryo/Cuff Cooler provides cold compression therapy to treat injury related symptoms like pain and swelling in a number of areas of the body. This device, when used in conjunction with one of the Aircast Cryo/Cuff units, delivers targeted cold compression straight to your injury, so you can get back to health as quickly and as safely as possible.

Why Is Cold Therapy Beneficial?

The Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff Unit provides up to eight hours of cryotherapy to the area you wish to target. This type of therapy helps to reduce discomfort and swelling, while also improving blood flow throughout the affected area. This is particularly useful if you have suffered from an injury or have undergone surgery and require targeted pain relief without the use of painkillers. Using cryotherapy to treat injury also yields quicker healing times, meaning you can get back to health in no time.

The Aircast Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff Cooler Unit holds water and ice needed for up to eight hours of cryotherapy, so you can get the most out of your treatment with each use.

How Do I Use the Cooler Unit?

To prepare the cooler, connect the blue tube to the cooler and fill with cold water to the line provided. Add ice and place the insulation disk on top before attaching the cooler lid and closing shut. (See figure 1).

Aircast Cold Therapy Cryo/Cuff Cooler

Allow up to five minutes for the water to chill, shaking the cooler occasionally. This will enable you to begin cryotherapy treatment with your chosen Cryo/Cuff device.

I wish I had bought this a lot sooner, it’s helping with my swollen knees so much, I have Multiple Sclerosis and suffer with joint swelling especially my knees, legs, and didn’t know this system was available until a good friend of mine mentioned it to me a few weeks ago, as I was going into hospital for knee replacement surgery.

I planned on buying the system afterwards but I was actually given a brand new knee cuff whilst in hospital and it was amazing, it’s helped so much with my recovery. I use it everyday and it’s so easy to use. I will be purchasing some of the other cuffs to help with my Ankles etc.

I can’t recommend this item and the full system enough. It’s fantastic.

The cryo and cuff are so useful after my full knee replacement operation helping to cool my leg and reduce the swelling. I am continuing to use them more than 4 weeks in after every exercise session - I just apply the cuff and elevate my leg also so I have now got a 90 degree bend and working for more!
