Sock and Stocking Aid

The Sock and Stocking Aid has been designed to assist individuals with putting on socks or stockings where a little assistance is required. By using the Sock and Stocking Aid where possible, it not only frees up time of carers or loved ones who would ordinarily assist, but it also helps the user to regain some of their independence by allowing them to put on their own socks or stockings with the help of the device.

Who Can Use the Sock and Stocking Aid?

The Sock and Stocking Aid is an ideal tool for anybody who struggles to bend down to put on their own socks. Where a family member, friend, or carer may have previously been required to put on the individual's socks or stockings, the Sock and Stocking aid can be used to guide the sock over the foot, allowing the user to regain independence by putting on their own socks. 

How Does the Sock and Stocking Aid Work?

The Sock and Stocking Aid works by ensuring the sock remains in place so that it can be pulled all the way onto the foot to a comfortable position. The plastic aid rolls into the sock to create an opening for the foot, and the foot can then be inserted into that trough.

As the foot slides into the aid, the sock then pulls onto the foot with ease. With loop handles of 36" (910mm) in length, they can be gripped comfortably to pull the sock onto the foot.

Please note that the Sock and Stocking Aid requires the use of two hands to work properly.
