Bellman Visit Deaf Alarm Clock and Optical Smoke Alarm Safe Value Bundle

To ensure that you are awoken if there is a fire in the night the Bellman Visit Deaf Alarm Clock and Optical Smoke Alarm Safe Value Bundle comes with a Bellman Bed-Shaker and Alarm Clock Receiver to help deaf and hard-of-hearing people keep their home safe. If you're looking to get your Bellman Visit home system started, or upgrade an existing system, this value bundle is the choice for you.

What's Included?

Bellman products come with everything they need for installation straight out the box. With this bundle, all the necessary components are included so that you can instantly make your home safer.

The Safe Value Bundle

Designed to keep deaf and hard of hearing people safe, this bundle has everything you need to be alerted in a potentially life-threatening situation. The Smoke Alarm is a Bellman Transmitter that will connect to your Alarm Clock Receiver. In the case of a fire, the alarm clock will signal flashing lights and a very loud 100dB alarm. What's more, the included Bed-Shaker guarantees that you will be woken by powerfully vibrating so that even if you're deeply asleep without any hearing at all you will still be woken up.

Keep Your Home Secure

Fires present serious risk to your health, your home and your property, but this danger can be reduced if you have the proper prevention and protection measures in place. With this optothermal smoke alarm, you can be sure that you will be indicated if there is the risk of a fire and can react accordingly to keep yourself safe and your home secure.

Combine the Alarms That Work for You

The Bellman Visit Alarm Clock is connected to a powerful bed shaker, which can be placed under your mattress or pillow, to strongly vibrate when it's time to wake up. The device can also emit an extra loud alarm signal that goes up to 100dB and flashes high intensity bright lights. You are able to use whichever one of these alerts works best for you, or a combination of all three.

How Does the Bed Shaker Work?

Place the shaker in your bed, under your pillow or mattress and if your Bellman Receiver picks up a signal while you sleep then the shaker will vibrate powerfully enough to wake even heavy sleepers. The shaker can connect to a range of Bellman products with vibrator outputs, to protect you from fires, carbon monoxide and other dangers.

Optical and Heat Detecting Smoke Alarm

This Bellman Smoke Alarm is constantly monitoring fire by optically watching out for smoke and also measuring the ambient temperature of the room. The alarm has unique signals depending on whether it was activated by smoke or heat, both are rapid alarms that will signal your Bellman Receiver. If there is a red light blinking every 50 seconds, this is the low battery indicator.

Silence Mode for Cooking

Although smoke alarms are essential devices for home safety, they can easily be accidentally triggered during cooking and a false alarm can be inconvenient. To avoid this, the Bellman Smoke Detector has a silent mode, activated by holding the test button in for 2 seconds, which will temporarily mute the alarm.

Extra-Loud Alarm Clock

Designed for the deaf and those who are hard of hearing across a variety of ailments, this alarm features a very loud 100dB sound which rings in an ascending multi-tone signal. As the alarm noise sweeps across a number of frequencies, it can be heard by a variety of people who have different forms of hearing loss.

Where Is the Optimal Placement of the Smoke Alarm?

Hot smoke naturally rises and disperses, so the best placement of the Bellman Visit Optical Smoke Alarm with Heat Detector is in the centre of the ceiling. It should be no closer than half a metre to any of the room's corners. On sloped ceilings, don't place the alarm close to the apex as dead air is trapped here that may prevent the alarm from activating.

Will the Alarm Clock Function in a Power Cut?

The Bellman Visit Deaf Alarm Clock runs from the mains power but also includes a battery back-up ensuring that it will keep working in an emergency or during power failure. Operating on four rechargeable AAA batteries, the alarm clock should be able to function for more than long enough that it takes for you to get the mains power back on.

Built-In Night Light

To help you get back to bed in the night, the alarm clock includes a mild blue light that works as a built-in night light. The electro-luminescent blue light is dim so as not to keep you awake and has a timeout period of 1 hour on the mains and 15 minutes on battery power.

Will the Bed Shaker Move Around the Bed in the Night?

The Bellman Bed Shaker has a rubber anti-skid protector to keep it in place within your bed. It will run from the power of your receiver so you don't need to worry about replacing batteries or it running out of power in the night. Operating at a low voltage and staying securely in place, it is a safe and reliable method to ensure that you are woken if needed.

Maintenance of the Safe Value Bundle

These devices come with everything they need to be installed straight out the box and are designed to require minimal maintenance. The alarm clock may need you to charge the back-up batteries and will signal this on the monitor. The smoke alarm should be vacuumed regularly when you clean your home and can be wiped down with a dry cloth if dusty (do not use household cleaning products).
