Trionic Veloped Trek 12er Walker

With rugged 12" tyres, the Veloped Trek 12er works in much the same way as a mountain bike, negotiating rough and uneven terrain with greater ease. The 12er provides air filled tyres that provides you with a smoother ride with less vibration and also includes an all-terrain hub brake for better security.

Fantastic Folding

Although the Trionic Veloped Trek is primarily designed for rugged use in a range of situations, it is also incredibly convenient to use. With nothing more than a quick push of a button, the telescopic stay begins to fold, allowing you to get through narrower areas. With the press of a second button, you can fold the Trek 12er fully to ensure easier storage and transportation.

Better Brakes

The Trionic Veloped 12er walker includes great hub brakes that are fully protected against dirt, water and snow. Because the brake is not working directly against the tyre (as they are on most rollators), the brake is more instant and provides a great hold.

On top of the brakes being extremely effective, they are also a doddle to use. The Trionic has a brand new user-friendly brake lever that offers a solid, high-quality feel. Featuring a rubber surface, the aluminium brake lever is comfortable to use in more situations, including when you are walking in cold conditions. The parking brake is also easier to operate and there are multiple ways that one can activate it.

What is a Veloped?

You might be wondering what exactly a Veloped is. A Veloped is a Swedish invention best described as a walking tricycle — in essence it is a replacement for a standard rollator. The advantages of a veloped are that they encourage greater physical activity (especially outdoor activities) and are also the first true "off-road" capable rollator/walkers in the world.

Wheel Adjuster

To give a better on-road or off-road experience, the Veloped Trek allows you to adjust your wheel to better suit your terrain. In one position, the front wheel is raised, providing you with superior manoeuvrability and easier turning whilst returning climbing capacity. In the other position, the Veloped is in all-terrain mode, giving the wheel additional suspension and climbing function with increased direction steadiness.

Ergonomic Design

When the seat of the Veloped Trek is slid forward, you are provided with plenty of walking space within the frame. This allows you to walk closer to the grip handle, which in turn causes a more ergonomic and up-right position. The U-shaped grip bar has been designed to offer several positions and while seated it also acts as a back support. The grip bar can be freely height adjusted in order to suit your body height.
