Which Size Cuff Should I Choose?
The Paediatric Knee/Elbow Cryo/Cuff is supplied in one universal size that should fit most children between the ages of one and seven. For a more tailored fit, simply adjust the cuff to meet your child's comfort using the straps provided.
How Do I Use the Cuff and IC Cooler?
For a step-by-step guide on how to use the cuff and cooler, please follow these four simple steps below:
Step One: Prepare the Cooler
Connect the blue tube to the cooler and fill the cooler to the line with water. Add ice and rest the insulation disk on top before closing the cooler shut. Allow up to five minutes for the water to chill before use.
Step Two: Apply the Cuff
Position the cuff on either the knee or elbow with the quick disconnect valve pointing upwards. (See figure 1).
Slightly flex the knee or elbow to allow mobility and secure using the straps provided. Tighten the straps according to your child's comfort. (See figure 2).
Step Three: Fill the Cuff
Connect the blue tube to the cuff. Raise the cooler no more than 15 inches above the cuff and allow 15 seconds for the cuff to fill. (See figure 3).
Place the cooler on a stable surface, the base of the cooler should be level with the cuff. Plug the cooler into a power supply and turn on by connecting the cord to the lid.
Step Four: Refill Cooler
To refill after use, unplug the cooler and repeat step one.

How Long Can I Use the Cuff for With Each Use?
You can use the cuff for up to two hours per cryotherapy session. However, you must leave a period of at least 20 minutes between each session to allow for patient recovery.
How Do I Clean the Cuff and Cooler?
You can clean the cuff and cooler with soap and hot water after use. After you have done this, simply rinse with water and leave to air dry.
