This product is designed to offer reliable bed seizure detection that allows parents and carers to leave the room, safe in the knowledge that should their care be needed, they will be alerted by a state-of-the-art epilepsy detection awareness system. The Medpage MP5-UTB Epilepsy Bed Movement Seizure Alarm System is a cost friendly set that includes an MPPL alarm station and a monitor and sensor, that – when linked together – provides you with the peace of mind to gain a quality night's sleep.

How Does the Medpage MP5-UTB Epilepsy Seizure Alarm Work?

The Medpage Seizure Alarm is composed of a number of items that work together to send an alarm if it monitors someone having an epileptic fit. Suitable for babies, children and adults, the UTB features a super-sensitive sensor that is positioned under a bed or cot mattress, where it detects unusual body movements of a sleeping person.

The movements are analysed by a computer system, which if triggered are sent to the alarm station that is activated and sends out an alarm. The alarm system can be connected to up to five bed monitors at a time, with each device having a unique alarm alert.

Monitor While Asleep

The UTB Monitor System fits under a bed or mattress, and allows the user to be monitored while they are asleep. The sensor can be adjusted to suit the bed type and body weight of the user, and has a transmitter range of up to 200 metres.

The Multi-Channel Alarm Station, which is also available as a Single Alarm Call Station, can be connected with up to five monitors at a time, with each system triggering a different colour that is unique to that monitor. This is perfect for a carer who is looking after multiple patients at a time, while the 96dB alarm can be heard even by users who are hard of hearing.
