Convenient Kit

The Paediatric Oval-8 Kit includes 15 Oval-8 finger splints in paediatric sizes, contained within a convenient plastic storage case. Compartments keep the different splint sizes organised, and space is provided both for product instructions and a penlight, which makes it easier to see the size etched on the bottom of each band (both included).

Indications of the Oval-8 Splints

The Oval-8 Splints can be used for a number of paediatric applications, including treating hyper-flexible little joints, helping control finger motion for those with mild hypertonicity and holding the thumb and fingers in a functional position for improved pinch and grasp.

Strong and Translucent

The Oval-8 Splints are moulded from 1.6mm translucent plastic without seams, making them very strong yet nearly invisible. The Oval-8 Splints stabilise and align the DIP or PIP joint, enhancing hand function.

Accommodates Fluctuations in Finger Size

Each Oval-8 splint fits a full size and, when rotated 180°, an additional half size, to accommodate fluctuation in oedema and temperature that can affect finger size. Oval-8 splints can be modified by spot heating with a heat gun.

Sizing of the Oval-8 Splints

The Oval-8 Paediatric Kit includes three splints in each of the sizes 3 through 7, for 15 splints in total.

Please note that to determine the correct size to use for an individual patient, use of the Oval-8 Sizing Set is required.
