Pair of Fleeced Elbow Protectors for Pressure Reduction

This Pair of Fleeced Elbow Protectors for Pressure Reduction have been designed to protect the elbow in patients with potential pressure issues or in those who are at risk of developing pressure sores or ulcers. They are fleece lined to provide a soft and cushioned surface for the elbow to rest on.

Please note these Pressure Relief Protectors are not designed for those who have already developed sores or ulcers. They are intended for use as a comfort product.

Suitable Applications for Use

Fleeced Elbow Protectors for Pressure Reduction are designed to be used around the house when relaxing or resting. They are not designed for use when out and about or on-the-go.

What Is Pressure Relief?

Pressure relief is the cushioning and softening of a surface that frequently comes into contact with part of the body. For example, a pressure mattress is designed to cushion the back so that the downward force generated by the body is evenly distributed, preventing the build up of pressure in one specific area.

Why Is Relieving Pressure Important?

If you have been assessed as susceptible to pressure sores and ulcers, it's vital you work to relieve the amount of pressure placed on the affected area. If you don't, the tissue underneath can puncture, tear or even rupture, forming painful sores, ulcers and abscesses.

Why Protect Your Elbows?

Pressure ulcers and bed sores commonly affect the bonier areas of the body, including the elbows, heels, hips and tailbone. Protecting your elbows when you sleep is vital because you naturally can't control your movement.

How Do Fleeced Elbow Protectors Attach?

As demonstrated in the product image, Elbow Protectors attach via an adjustable strap for fitted yet comfortable wear.

This pair of fleece elbow protectors are supplied in one universal and adjustable size, designed to fit almost all elbows.

Delivery Information

Delivery - Free UK Mainland Delivery

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and often dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Elbow covers

I find these pads a nuisance keep falling off or slopping away from elbow the Velcro should be a bit longer as the strap is long but Velcro patch to short which means you can’t get it as tight as needed

They are a loose fitting device that is designed to prevent chaffing, rubbing or contact aggravating areas that are prone to sores. They are not designed to be worn out or whilst on-the-go as their broad design will potentially result in slippage and/or displacement.

Suffering from an elbow injury which is taking a long time to heal and is painful to rest on chair arm
These elbow protectors provide a really practical and comfortable solution. Highly recommended

When you see the product, it looks almost home made but the main thing is it does the job well by keeping your elbows soft and safe, so would recommend the product to others.

These protectors work when sitting for a long time, although they have a tendency to move down and twist after a time, and are somewhat fiddly to put on.

I got these for my dad in hospital as his elbows were sore with the chair. I wrapped them round the arms of the chairs, which helped

My mum suffers with pressure sores and these fleece protectors are soft and gentle, on her delicate skin. They help to prevent her elbows rubbing on the sheets. I would certainly recommend them to others.

These fit the bill nicely

My daughter has problems sitting up straight and so spends a lot of time leaning on her elbows, usually with a pillow or cushion on her knee to help with pressure pain. These elbow protectors are just the job. No more sweaty knees from the pillow and no more pressure pain. They're not glamorous but who cares, they do the job.

The fleece protectors are excellent. I use them as arm rest covers on my mother's wheelchair!
