Providing comfortable compression to your legs, the Sigvaris Instinct Men's Calf Class 2 Granite Compression Stockings are a discreet solution to problems such as varicose veins, DVT and lymphoedema. Manufactured with breathable materials, the Sigvaris Instinct Compression Socks prevent overheating and are suitable for use in any season.

What's in the Box?

Each purchase contains the following items:

  • 1 x Pair of Below Knee Compression Stockings (Colour: Granite; Compression: Afnor Class 2)

Who Can Use the Sigvaris Instinct Calf Stockings?

The Sigvaris Instinct Stockings have been designed for use specifically by men and can be used with the following indications (conditions):

  • Varicose Veins
  • Leg Ulcer
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
  • Tired Legs

If you are unsure as to whether these compression stockings would be suitable for your needs, we would recommend consulting a medical professional prior to purchasing.

How Strong is the Compression?

These stockings have been designed to be Class 2 stockings under the Afnor scale and provide a compression of 15 - 20mmHg. This is a fairly light compression, which is ideal for people with light to moderate symptoms.

Which Size of Stocking Do I Need?

The Sigvaris Instinct Class 2 Stockings are available in sizes between Small and XX-Large, and each size is available in two lengths: Normal and Long. To find your perfect size, please measure the following:

  • The circumference of your leg just below the knee (marked "C" on the chart below)
  • The circumference of your ankle (marked "B" on the chart below)
  • The length of your leg from the bottom of your foot to the back of your knee (marked "A-D" on the chart below)

Once you have these measurements, please match your results to the chart below to find your ideal size.

Do These Stockings Feature an Open Toe?

These stockings do not feature an open toe design. Please see our full range of Sigvaris Calf-Length Stockings for Men to find our selection of open toe designs.

Are the Stockings Suitable for Sensitive Skin?

The Instinct Compression Socks feature an "Aerated Micro Zone" on the foot, which helps to wick away moisture and keep the foot dry. This makes the stockings ideal for use in any season and allows for prolonged wear without having to worry about discomfort, even for those with sensitive skin.

Will the Instinct Stockings Cause Blisters?

Featuring flat sewing on the toe seams, the Sigvaris Instinct Compression Class 2 Stockings are low-friction and reduce rubbing. This helps to prevent the development of blisters and aids in keeping the garment comfortable.

Do the Sigvaris Initial Stockings Get Hot?

The Sigvaris Initial Stockings feature Aquarius Fibre, which is a proprietary fibre designed to reduce to warmth to improve comfort. By utilising this material, the Initial Stockings can be used in any season without causing discomfort.

How Long Do Sigvaris Stockings Last?

If cared for properly (see below), Sigvaris Compression Stockings can last up to six months. This may change depending on how often the garment is worn, how they are applied/removed and how the garments have been washed. Please be aware that fingernails and rings may catch on the hosiery and cause snagging or laddering.

Can I Wear My Stockings for Longer Than 6 Months?

It is not advised that you wear your stockings for a period longer than six months, as this can cause the stockings to lose their elasticity and therefor their efficacy. Stockings worn beyond this point may not provide the level of compression stated.

How Do I Clean My Sigvaris Stockings?

Sigvaris stockings are suitable for machine washing on a delicate setting at 30°C, ideally placed within a mesh laundry bag. The stockings should be cleaned with a neutral fabric washing powder/liquid or, for the best results, using Sigvaris Washing Solution. Avoid synthetic powders, fabric softeners, whitening agents, and bleach as these may damage your stockings if used.

How Do I Dry My Sigvaris Stockings?

Your stockings can be dried using the following ways:

  • Gently towel dry
  • Place in an airing cupboard to dry
  • Hang on a washing line or clothes horse

Do NOT tumble dry or place your hosiery directly on a radiator.
