The Donjoy ErgoForm Thumb Splint is a semi-rigid and comfortable aluminium thumb splint, made from comfortable and breathable fabrics. It's ideal for sprains and dislocations of the thumb, as it efficiently immobilises your thumb, basal joint and, to a certain degree, the wrist.

How Easy to Put On Is This Thumb Splint?

The ErgoForm Thumb Splint is designed to be easy to set up even with one hand. Its adjustable wrist closure system ensures reliable immobilisation, while the thumb strap provides optimal support for the thumb column.

What Materials Is the Thumb Splint Made From?

For optimal comfort and breathability, this thumb splint features Ozone fabric, while the inner lining is made from soft jersey. Moreover, the support is latex free, which minimises potential skin irritation.

Can I Wear It on Either Hand?

Yes, the ErgoForm Thumb Splint is bilateral, ensuring it will fit both the left and the right hand. This means you can easily re-use it any time in the future, should you ever require immobilisation of your other wrist as well.

Best ready made splint but pressed on sore joint

My daughter damaged her up a thumb joint and bruised the ligaments and tendon. Most splints didn’t immobilise the joint as required, but this one was good in that respect but put pressure on the sore part of her joint. In the end we bought the mouldable splints - they were hard to fit properly, so eventually she ended up in the hand clinic having one made professionally. It depends on the shape of your hand and nature of your injury as to which printer is best.

I am hoping that my newly arthritic thumb lower joint will be helped by this support; the jury is out as yet, having only just started to use it, but it is a very well made product, and at a good price.
