Dotty Day Out Grobag
The Dotty Day Out Grobag is part of the Grobag range of baby sleep bags. These are brilliant because the baby can't kick off the covers or slip down into them. Grobags also allow you to put babies back in their cot without waking them.
Grobags are the UK's first baby sleep bags to meet the BSI standard and are the only baby sleep bags recommended by the Cot Death prevention charity FSID.
Grobags have lots of safety features such as double poppers, zip-click covers and hidden fabric edges and are made from premium 100% cotton. There are also plenty of comfort features such as chin guards to prevent rubbing.
Grobag has won 4 Gold Mother & Baby and 1 Gold Practical Parenting Award.
The Dotty Day Out Grobag is a bright, colourful and fun design perfect for girls or boys.
The Dotty Day Out Grobag comes in a range of sizes and two togs - 1.0 and 2.5.
Features:
- 100% woven cotton outer
- 100% cotton jersey lining
- Quick–dry polyester filling on 2.5 tog
- Both 1.0 and 2.5 tog in all sizes has a side zip.
Choosing a sizeAn ideal time to start using a Grobag baby sleep bag is when your baby weighs more than 8 lbs 8oz (0-6 mths size). It is very important to check that your baby's head cannot pass through the neck-hole when the Grobag is fastened for use. Please remember that these are recommendations only as all babies are different. | Approximate child age | Minimum child weight | Maximum child length |
| 0-6 months | 4kg / 8lb 8oz | 68cm / 27" | 6-18 months | 8.1kg / 18lb | 86cm / 34" | 18-36 month | 11.4kg / 25lb | 98cm / 39" | 3-6 years | 53.5cm chest | 116cm / 46" |

Choosing a togA tog measurement is a European warmth rating: the higher the tog, the warmer the product. Grobag baby sleep bags are available in three tog ratings. | Grobags come in a variety of warmth ratings (togs): |
| | All year round (for standard room temperatures of 16-20°C | | Perfect for summer and daytime naps (warmer weather and in rooms of 21-23°C) | | Ideal for holidays and heatwaves (hot weather and very warm rooms of 24-27°C |

What to wearWhat your baby wears will depend on the tog of Grobag baby sleep bag and the temperature of the baby's bedroom. (In the same way as you would adjust nightclothes and number of blankets). As a guide, please refer to the table below. Please remember, though, that babies are all different and, just as with blankets and sheets, you will soon discover what your baby is most comfortable wearing -- placing your fingers on your baby's chest is the best indicator of whether they are too hot/too cold/just right as babies' hands often feel cool. |

Styling FeaturesOur different designs of grobag have various styling features developed with the comfort and safety of your child in mind. Both side zip and front zip closures exist in the range due to the different preferences of parents and children, we have a solution to cater for every need. Each style has their own advantages – the side zip style easily opens out flat if you undo the side zip and shoulder poppers, meaning it is easy to change your child without disturbing them too much. The front zip style is accessed from the front instead of bottom and side, and has fixed shoulders in case your slightly older child is able to open the shoulder popper fastenings. The unique zip-click® feature was introduced to increase the comfort of children in Side Zip closure grobags, it helps protect the child against any rubbing from the zip pull. In the front fastening closure the zip-click® makes it harder for little hands to get to the zip pull and prevents them from opening their grobag on their own. | Side zip features | Front zip features | Travel Grobag features |
| Side zip closure | Front zip closure | Front two-way zip closure | Shoulder popper fastening | Fixed shoulder design | Fixed shoulder design | Underarm Zip-click® closure | Zip-click closure® at base of zip | Back vent opening for use with 5 point harness | | | Zip-click closure® at base of zip |
The travel Grobag has been created so that it can be used in conjunction with a 5 point harness. The back vent allows the anchor point of a harness to be passed into the grobag which can then be fastened through the harness allowing the other straps from the harness to be connected via the two way zip. It enables parents to make a smooth transition of their children from car seat or buggy into their cot – great for sleeping children when you are on the go. |
How to wash All Grobag Baby Sleep Bags can be machine washed at 40°C. They can be hung out to dry or tumble dried on a low setting. As with all cotton goods, we have designed our Grobags to allow for up to 5% shrinkage. If your child has any allergies and you wish to wash your Grobag at 60°C, you should allow for a little more shrinkage. When washing, it is best to keep the zip closed. You can iron your Grobag on a low heat if desired, always keeping the iron away from the zip or covering the zip with a cloth. We recommend that you wash dark colours separately for the first few washes. We also recommend that you wash your Grobag with a detergent that is free from bleaching agents in order to retain the original colours. |
