The base sheet has a satin surface that the top sheet slides over, allowing carers to shift patients into different positions, turn them or help them up when they are lying in bed. How Does the Four-Way Bed Sheet Prevent Injury?

Designed to protect both carers and patients from injury, the top draw sheet can be slid over the bottom base sheet so carers can drag patients along the bed or turn them. This system provides leverage so the carer does not have to strain their back lifting the patient themselves, and due to its extended length can support the head, neck and legs of the patient to prevent discomfort or injury. 

Additionally, polycotton edges and a polycotton top side of the draw sheet stop patients from sliding towards the edge of the bed so they don't fall out and get hurt.
