Suffering from trauma to the knee or undergoing surgery on the knee can cause a great deal of discomfort and swelling, which in turn tends to make walking difficult. The Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff with Gravity Cooler Saver Pack uses the therapeutic benefits of controlled cold compression to minimise swelling and reduce pain, while its anatomical shape ensures to completely cover the affected area and therefore aid healing.

What's Included in This Saver Pack?

The Aircast Saver Pack includes:

  • 1 x Cryo Cuff Gravity Cooler

When Can I Use the Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff?

The Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff is highly versatile, designed with safety and ease of use in mind. It can be used for virtually any condition to reduce swelling and relieve pain, but it is most frequently used in the following situations:

  • Post-operative recovery

Watch the video below to learn more about how cold therapy can help you with injured or traumatised soft tissues to reduce pain and swelling:

How Do I Find the Right Size for Me?

The Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff is available to purchase in three different sizes. To find out which size you require, simply measure the circumference of your leg 15cm (6 inches) above the patella and refer to the table below.

Size Thigh Circumference (Inches) Thigh Circumference (cm)
Small 10 - 19" 25 - 48cm
Medium 18 - 23" 46 - 58cm
Large 20 - 31" 51 - 79cm

When choosing your size, please take into consideration potential swelling of the knee and surrounding tissue.

Can I Use the Cuff without the Cooler?

To ensure best results, the Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff needs to be used in conjunction with the Gravity Cooler. This way you can enjoy full benefits of compression and cold therapy.

Can I Use the Cooler with Other Aircast Products?

Yes, the Gravity Cooler is compatible with all Cryo/Cuff and Arcticflow products. This includes:

How Does This Product Work?

The Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff uses gravity to circulate cold water. All you need to do is fill it with ice and water, put it higher than your knee, and let gravity force chilled water around the knee cuff.

How Long Does the Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff Stay Cool?

The Cryo Cuff Gravity Cooler holds water and ice needed for six to eight hours of cryotherapy. The cooler uses a simple, gravity-fed system and is labelled with easy directions for your peace of mind.

How Do I Use the Knee Cryo Cuff?

  1. Prep the cooler by pouring ice and cold water into the tank. Allow for ice and water to sit for five minutes to chill.
  2. Make sure the cuff had been emptied (if previously used), and wrap it around your knee using Velcro straps. Ensure a tight but comfortable fit.
  3. To fill your cuff, connect the hose from the cooler to the cuff. Place the cooler on a stable surface, so that the base of the cooler is equal to your Cryo Cuff.
  4. Please note: While the unit is running remember to never lift the cooler higher than four inches above the Cryo Cuff, as this can cause excessive pressure.
  5. Remember to empty the cuff after each use.

Can You Sleep in It?

We recommend keeping an eye on the temperature of the water and level of compression to ensure best results, and advise against sleeping in the Cryo Cuff. If you're looking for something you could apply before going to bed and not worry about it again, we recommend the CoolXChange Cooling Gel Bandage, which is reusable and provides up to two hours of treatment at a time. Alternatively, the Dura Soft Knee Sleeve Knee Ice Pack Wrap can be safely left on your knee even for prolonged periods, as it eventually simply warms to body temperature and can't cause any discomfort.

Please note that this device can be cold enough to cause serious injuries. Read and understand all warnings and instructions for use before using the device.

Cryocuff

I know these are expensive but they are worth every penny especially after an arthroscopy or any type of inflammation in the joint.
I have the cuff for a knee but there are cuffs available for all major joints.
Brilliant invention and extremely well made. Water stays cold for hours meaning you get numerous uses with one bucket.
Very easy to keep clean.
I highly recommend using this company for your order, they package their goods very well and the speed of the delivery was excellent. I would definitely use them again.

Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff
Sunday, 9 August 2020  |

I was given a cryo cuff during rehab after a nasty knee injury playing football 10+ year ago. Now in my mid thirties and “trying” to bag all the Munro’s in Scotland it helps me get any knee swelling down quick. Allowing me to train and continue my other sports of mtb / road cycling.
