I was advised by podiatrist to try a nighttime splint and was not at all sure about it. However, after one very painful morning waking, decided to give it a go. It has made a world of difference, and I am now waking up pain free.
It was a bit fiddly at first, but persevered and now is part of my going to bed routine .
