For elderly individuals, something as simple as using a telephone can be too difficult a task, and hearing loss only makes this issue worse. The Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Photo Amplified Cordless Telephone with Answering Machine is an ideal telephone for elderly users, with a loud receiver for easier conversations and photo buttons for instant dialling of important numbers.

Louder, Clearer Sound

To help make conversations clear to the hard of hearing, the AmpliDECT 295 Photo features a loud receiver with up to 30dB of amplification. It's ideal for ensuring that calls can be heard loudly and clearly.

In addition, the handset also features built-in hearing aid compatibility. This sends a telecoil signal directly to a hearing aid, making calls as clear as possible.

Built-In Answering Machine

As well as making phone calls easier, the AmpliDECT 295 also features a built-in answering machine. With up to 14 minutes of recording time, it's ideal for keeping track of missed calls and staying in touch with loved ones. Messages can be deleted individually or all at once and feature a timestamp for easier management.

Photo Buttons for Easier Dialling

For some elderly individuals, it can be difficult to remember phone numbers or even look them up in an address book. To help make dialling important numbers as easy as possible, the Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Photo features ten one-touch memories with space for images on the base unit of the phone.

Important numbers can be programmed for each button, and images can be placed on them. This provides easier recognition, eliminating the need to memorise phone numbers.

Can I Set A Distinct Ring for Each Caller?

Yes, you can set a different ring for each caller in your phonebook, allowing the user to easily identify the caller from the ring alone. Each AmpliDECT 295 handset features five standard rings and five polyphonic rings, while the base itself features five standard rings. This provides plenty of room for customisation to ensure important numbers can have a distinct ring.

Does This Phone Feature Caller ID?

Yes, this phone can display Caller ID, providing it is supplied in your current package by your service provider. It will store the last 50 numbers, allowing you to scroll back through your last calls for reference.

Does the Phone Light Up When Receiving a Call?

When an incoming call is detected, the red LED light at the top of each handset will illuminate. This light brightly and steadily flashes, clearly signifying that a call is on the line.

Can I Connect This Phone to My Internet Modem?

Yes, if you subscribe to a digital phone line from your landline provider, this phone can be connected by plugging the telephone cord directly into your internet modem.

Customise Your Phone with Picture Button Template

The Picture Button Template is free to use for everyone. All you need to do is upload your pictures to the template, print them, and then simply place them in your PhotoPHONE picture buttons for easier use.

I bought this for my severely visually impaired 94 year old mother. After I set it up for her, she found it easy to use and could see the numbers much clearer than on her old phone

This was a little disappointing when it first arrived, as I was expecting it to be much larger, It was certainly compact and a little lightweight than anticipated. The photo memory buttons were small around 2.5cm square and that made it difficult to print out and fit into the small photo buttons. This was purchased for a relative who has alzheimers / dementure, with poor eyesight and hearing and co-ordination. so whilst it had good loud ring tones and speaker phone, the build was not heavy or robust enough for my relatives purpose. It would also have been useful to have a full instruction leaflet in the box instead of just a quick setup, that only covered the very basics. That said it is a reasonable phone with the very useful memory buttons and would be perfect for someone with fewer disabilities and more familiar with using phones in general.
