Correct and accurate weight measurement is vital for ensuring patients are treated according to their needs. The Marsden M-550 Digital Floor Scale is a Class III approved digital floor scale ideal for use in GP surgeries.

More Accurate than Mechanical Scales

Accurate to within 200g, the M-550 was found to be up to five times more accurate when compared with traditional mechanical scales in GPs surgeries. The large and clear digital display clearly shows patient weight, and can even be used to calculate BMI in seconds. It also features a capacity of 160kg – perfect for most patients.

Larger Base for Increased Stability

To give patients increased stability while being weighed, the M-550 features a larger base than other scales. This helps patients to feel more comfortable and steady while being weighed, and the scale's non-slip surface gives additional traction for even more stability.

Easy to Use

As well as being incredibly accurate, the scale is also incredibly easy to use. A tare function enables you to take into account clothing weight for more accurate readings, and a hold function holds the weight on the screen to enable you to easily take note of the reading. The M-550 also features a tap-on feature, meaning there's no need to bend down to turn the scale on.

Is This a Portable Scale?

Since this scale weighs only 4kg and is powered entirely by AA batteries it is portable. However its dimensions (34.7cm x 35.3cm x 6cm) are fairly large to carry around comfortably. Marsden produce a more compact alternative: the Marsden M-420 Portable Digital Floor Scale.
