The Flexicare base sheet and top sheet can be purchased separately if you need to replace individual components, however you can save money on the full Flexicare bed system with this combination pack. The base sheet provides a slippery surface for the top sheet to slide over, so patients can be turned, shifted or helping into an upright position by carers.

How Does the Flexicare Sliding Aid Pack Protect Carers?

The Four-Way Top Sheet can help protect carers from injury during in-bed patient manoeuvres as it eliminates the need for direct lifting. The sheet can be used to pull or turn the patient more easily, and can also be attached to a hoist if extra leverage is required.

Suitable for Use with Lifting Hoists

For more significant repositioning of the patient, the handles of the Flexicare top sheet can be attached to a patient lifting hoist. By raising one side of the sheet, the hoist can then ease the patient gently onto their side, taking the strain of direct lifting off of the carer.

How Comfortable Are the Flexicare Sheets?

The base and top sheet of the Flexicare in-bed system are comfortable enough to be lain on indefinitely like any other form of bedding, so patients can be repositioned whenever necessary. Made from breathable, fire-retardant cotton and featuring a padded, quilted surface on the top sheet, the system provides patients with a cool, cushioned surface to lie on.
