Soffban Natural Cast Padding

The Soffban Natural Cast Padding is a natural viscose padding for plaster of Paris and synthetic casts, suitable for areas where bleeding may occur. It absorbs wound fluid (exudate) and moisture away from the wound, reducing the risk of skin maceration.

Designed to absorb exudate, or wound fluid, the Soffban Natural Padding is highly absorbent. It is also suitable for use around areas where bleeding may occur, helping to prevent skin maceration.

Is the Padding Suitable for Venous Leg Ulcers?

Yes, the Soffban Natural Cast Padding is suitable for use for multi-layer bandaging of venous leg ulcers. It is designed to be used as the first layer of padding.

How Comfortable Is the Soffban Natural Padding?

The Soffban Natural Padding is designed to be as comfortable as possible, with a lightweight construction that allows for good air flow. It provides cushioning beneath the rigid cast material, and also offers protection from the cast saw during cast removal.

Can I Sterilise the Padding?

Yes, the padding can be autoclaved for sterilisation before use. There is no need to remove the paper wrapping for this.
