Indications of the Fortilax Arthritis Brace

The Donjoy Fortilax Knee Support can be used for a number of conditions. This includes the following:

  • Proprioceptive stimulation

Anatomical Design

The Donjoy Arthritis Knee Support helps provide proprioceptive and neuromuscular stimulation by compressing the area. This helps facilitate healing while also preventing local swelling in the area.

Sizing of the Donjoy Fortilax Elastic Knee Support

Available in six sizes, the Donjoy Fortilax Support provides you with a tailored fit. Please measure the circumference of your thigh 15cm (6 inches) above the centre of the knee cap. If your measurement falls between sizes, please select the larger size of the two.

Care Instructions

Caring for the Donjoy Fortilax Knee Support is easy. The support should be hand washed in cold water with mild soap and rinsed thoroughly before it's left out to air dry. Please note that the brace should not be machine washed or bleached.

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and often dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Having fallen & damaged my meniscus this was I thought a good solution. Unfortunately, not having slim athletic legs, (I wish!), this rolls over at the top, slides down & lasts in place about 15 minutes until it feels that the rolled bit has cut the blood supply. Not the best & not the solution for me personally.

Slight looseness behind the knee, but works well. When first wearing you can feel warmth generated around the joint

Item as described on website. Good quality. Makes knee feel secured without being over tight.

Osteoarthritis relief

The product is well made but highlighted a problem with standard measurements. I measured as instructed, which was the same as another knee supplier support, but after a few uses the new one stretched and now gives very little support. A pity as the material quality is very good

Fit for purpose

Bought these for my father to support his arthritic knees to encourage him to walk a little bit more daily. Measured them twice to ensure a good fit but they don't seem to stay put and slide down. He pulls them back up during his walks but may need to purchase another set later on. Slightly disappointed that they've stretched so much already but he does say they help him walk forwards through his knees instead of waddling.

Thing slips all the time. Advised to get smaller size, although I had measured several times exactly as told. A smaller size would cut off my circulation. Advised by physio and pharmacists that such designs are no use as there is no way of keeping them in place. I'll know better in future.
