Vulkan Classic 3041 Heat Retaining Open Knee Support

Even though the patella is often the most vulnerable part of the knee, ordinary knee braces rarely give it the attention it deserves. The Vulkan Classic 3041 Heat Retaining Open Knee Support has been designed to provide light compression, support and heat to the entire knee, while its unique open knee design with a stitched-in buttress gives extra support and helps to restrict movement of the patella.

To be suitable for a range of users, the Vulkan 3041 Open Knee Support is available in five sizes, from Extra Small to Extra Large. To determine the correct size, measure around the knee over the kneecap, with the leg held straight.

Triple Layer Construction with Aerotherm Technology

The Vulkan Classic 3041 Knee Support is designed to provide the therapeutic properties of heat retention offered by neoprene, while promoting air flow. It consists of three layers that deliver maximum support and comfort:

  • Protective top layer: the tough nylon fabric is Mauser stitched along key points to provide the strongest possible seam.
  • Neoprene core: the closed cell neoprene core insulates and retains body heat for natural heat therapy.
  • Aerotherm lining: the construction of the lining allows air to circulate freely, helping to draw perspiration away from the skin.

I have used these before, and they are excellent supports, for my osteoarthritis affected knees. I have used many brands but these have come out top, and used my last pair (still in existence and usable) for more than 2 years. I decided to replace them as in time they do like everything else become tired. Mine are in use from the time I get up, to the time for bed, at least 16 hours everyday. They are comfortable to wear, keep kneecaps in place, mine are like mobile bags of crisps, especially on stair climbing, but the supports keep the knee stable and pain free, with everything moving as it should rather than all bits working against each other. They are robust supports, well made and also keep the joints warm. A pleasure to wear.
This time I purchased 4 so that they can be laundered regularly, one pair on, the other in the wash. I would recommend these for anyone who has a knee problem as they have different sizes to suit most people. They work, stay in position, and make walking comfortable and easy again.

Bought due to arthritic pain in the knee when out walking. Got to say it does give me plenty of support without the pain. Would recommend anybody to give it a try and glad I purchased it.
