How Do the FootActive Medical Insoles Work?

Designed by Australian podiatrists, these FootActive Medical Insoles utilise strong arch support alongside a deep heel cup to align the foot and ankle and help correct even severe overpronation. They also take advantage of superior materials to keep your feet comfortable and friction free within your shoes.

In addition to the arch and heel support, the full-length version of the FootActive Medical Insoles also offer support to the balls of your feet and the metatarsal area. This makes the full-length insoles an ideal option if you are looking for support for the entire length of the foot.

Which Conditions Are the FootActive Medical Insoles Appropriate For?

  • Heel pain
  • Severe over-pronation
  • Heel spurs
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Flat feet
  • Ball of foot pain
  • Metatarsal pain
  • Metatarsalgia
  • Achilles tendonitis

What Is the Difference Between the 3/4 Length and Full Length Medical Insoles?

While the Full Length Medical Insoles provide the best and most firm coverage for your whole foot, this is not a simple case of it being the better insole. The 3/4 length insole offers the same support to the middle and back of the foot as the full length option, and features the added benefit of fitting a wider selection of shoes, including narrower shoes and open shoes like sandals or slippers.

Whether you choose the full-length insoles or the 3/4-length insoles is down to your shoe type and individual requirements. Please select your required style from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

What Are the Features of FootActive Medical Insoles?

  • High-density EVA body offers high-build quality for long-lasting support
  • Cushioning Durapontex provides the most comfortable fit possible
  • Shock-absorbing gel heel maximises comfort and prevents injury while walking
  • Built-in arch support and metatarsal raise contribute to robust mid-foot support
  • Deep heel cup and extra firm design corrects overpronation, flat feet and fallen arches
  • Microfibre top layer minimises friction and helps to wick moisture away from your feet
  • NHS approval for your peace of mind
  • Easily trimmed with scissors to help you achieve a perfect fit

What Activities Are the Medical Insoles Designed For?

These insoles are intended for general use throughout your day to day life. They are suitable for virtually all lace-up shoes including work shoes, walking boots and trainers. The 3/4-length insole is even more compatible and will fit inside sandals and open shoes.

What Differentiates Medical Insoles from Other Insoles?

The FootActive Medical Insoles are especially firm insoles that offer close support to the length of your foot. The arch support, deep heel cup and metatarsal support are the most supportive offered by FootActive. As the name suggests, this is the most effective therapeutic insole offered by FootActive for the correction of overpronation and painful foot conditions such as plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis.

If you have severely sensitive feet – for instance, due to diabetes-related neuropathy or arthritis – the FootActive Sensi Insoles offer support specifically tailored to minimise pressure.

What is Pronation?

Pronation is the inward rolling of the ankle or foot. Some degree of pronation occurs in natural walking, but over pronation can have negative effects beyond the feet. It can contribute to knee pain and shin splints, as well as other lower leg problems. Supination is the opposite of pronation (outward rolling of the ankle or foot) and represents similar risks.

Which Other FootActive Insoles are Available?

There are a remarkable number of FootActive Insoles expertly developed for a range of specific uses and conditions.

After trimming them down they fit into 3 pairs of my existing shoes which I didn't expect.
Therefore don't need to buy special ones amazingly.
