Formthotics Low Volume Insoles

For those who experience pain or stiffness after extended periods of time standing, walking or running, the use of orthotic insoles may be the perfect solution. The Formthotics Low Volume Insoles are specially designed for use in close fitting track or cycling shoes to provide support where before there were few suitable options. The low profile of these insoles also makes them great for users who can only tolerate a low to moderate level of arch support.

Great for Track and Cycling Shoes

People who often use track and cycling shoes know that the close-fitting design of these shoes often leaves little room for insoles or additional support. That's why these shoes are made with a low-profile, allowing them to fit where other insoles won't. This means that athletes can enjoy excellent support and comfort anywhere, whether in competition or going through training.

Low-Profile Design

Many insole users find that their orthotics can become painful if the arch support is too firm or obstructive. The special low-profile design of these insoles means that these people can rest easy, as they provide support subtly enough to avoid pain or strain on the soles of the feet.

Improve Balance and Stability

Recent scientific literature indicates that orthotics have significant effects on balance, stability and the EMG activity of various muscles. It is also stated that orthotics change the afferent input on the nervous system, as well as efferent neural signals going to the various muscles. Consequently, Formthotics have immediate reflex benefits and longer term positive effects on foot posture, balance and motor patterns.

Advanced Formax Foam

Formax Foam is used in these insoles, which is made from a range of high grade and unique thermo-formable polyolefin closed cell foams made specially for Formthotics. These foams work to absorb shocks before they reach the foot, contributing to better joint stability and overall health.

The main foam is proprietary polyethylene which is firmer and more resistant to heat. This foam will hold a moulded shape for longer, while remaining better and more accurate than EVA. This foam is non-porous, flexible, lightweight, supportive and resistant to fungi and mould while also being hyper-allergenic.

Customisable Foot Relief

Formthotics can be thermoformed to the plantar surface of the foot (or on a positive cast) at temperatures and pressures that can be utilised in the therapists’ office. This is due to the unique material that they are made of and the milling method used in their manufacture. Well regarded independent RCT trials have validated the therapeutic effects of Formthotics in treating and preventing common foot problems.
