Swift UltraSlide Standard Single Base Sheet
Even when patients are fairly independent, if they've suffered from an injury or are taking medication then they might find simple tasks like turning in bed more difficult. The Swift UltraSlide Standard Single Base Sheet is ideal for patients who are nearly independent and mobile as its low friction surface allows them to move around more easily in bed.
Key Features and Benefits
- Base sheet for relatively independent patients or residents
- Specifically made for use on single beds
- Features an integrated low-friction panel down the centre for comfort
- Helps patients move themselves more easily in bed without pain
- Designed using patented Smart Sheet design for added comfort
- Made with stretchy fabric to help fit a range of single beds
Improves Independence
Using normal bed sheets is more likely to cause friction burns on the skin of your patients, particularly in high-risk areas like the elbows and knees. The Swift UltraSlide Bottom Sheet is constructed with a low-friction panel (coloured blue) down the centre of the sheet for improved comfort. This works wonders in improving patient independence as it allows more independent residents to move around in bed unaided and without fear of discomfort.
Care Instructions
In line with infection control guidelines, the Swift UltraSlide Sheet should be washed prior to use. This also ensures an optimum fit for the first use. Please refer to the Wash and Dry Guidelines tab for further care instructions for this product.

Washing Instructions
In line with infection control guidelines, the Swift sheets should be washed prior to use. This also ensures an optimum fit for the first use.
- Please treat these sheets as a synthetic and therefore use a standard cycle for synthetic fabrics
- Suitable for use in a continuous batch washer (CBW)
- Maximum main wash temperature: 90°C (65 - 71°C or above achieves thermal disinfection)
- It is advised that the load should be around 85 - 90% of the washer capacity for washing and drying
- In washer extractors, use a reverse temperature wash process to avoid thermal shock or creasing
- Operating the final rinse at around 40°C facilitates faster evaporation rates during tumbling
- Please wash as 100% polyester or 50/50 polyester/cotton
Drying Instructions
- Please note that exact settings will vary by dryer
- As a guideline, dryers should be able to dry a load in 20 to 30 minutes at a medium to high heat (including a cool down time of approximately five minutes)
- Please remove the load as soon as the dry cycle is completed to avoid over drying
Additional Information
- Please avoid the use of bleach as this can cause colour loss
- Do not over dry as this can accelerate deterioration, increase creasing and cause excessive shrinking
- Do not iron as this can damage the natural stretch of the fabric
