Using a wheelchair or mobility scooter regularly means sitting down for prolonged periods, putting the user at risk of developing pressure sores and other conditions that manifest in sedentary individuals. Made from 100% pure new wool, Wheelchair Seat Fleece Covers provide comfort and most importantly prevent the user's skin from incurring the usual conditions that cause pressure sores.

Wheelchair Seat Covers are available as a Seat Cover or a Seat and Back Cover, and can be used on both wheelchairs and scooters.

100% Pure Lamb's Wool

Wheelchair Seat Fleece Covers have the unique ability to absorb perspiration, preventing the skin becoming clammy and allowing it to breathe more effectively. Unlike polyester fleeces, real wool is exothermic and can absorb up to 33% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. Furthermore, even when damp, wool does not feel cold.

Real wool has a remarkable natural resilience and the covers' real lamb's wool, high-density 1" deep piles distribute pressure more evenly, giving immediate comfort relief. They also have a gentle touch that prevents friction burns from abrasion.

How Does a Wheelchair Seat Fleece Attach to My Wheelchair?

Wheelchair Seat Fleeces use a "wraparound" style attachment fastening to keep the fleece in place and prevent slippage and movement. The fleece fastens at the back of the chair, just below the push handles, allowing for easy adjustment if required.

Is the Wheelchair Seat Fleece Suitable for Any Wheelchair Cushion and Platform?

Provided the dimensions are correct, your Seat Fleece can be used with any style or type of cushion underneath. Designed to provide a soft and plush cover for your wheelchair cushion, the Seat Fleece can be purchased to cover either the back or the platform depending on your requirements.

Does the Wheelchair Seat Fleece Have a Pressure Relief Rating?

Whilst the Wheelchair Seat Fleece does not have a pressure relief rating, it can help repel the development of sores. If you are assessed as being at risk of developing pressure sores, the soft 100% wool fleece acts as a soft and plush cushion cover that will prevent rubbing and aggravation in areas where sores tend to build up.

I have been looking for some nice seat covers for the chairs I spend a lot of time in, and these are working well in that capacity.
The straps that are meant to hold them into the wheelchair have come in useful in securing the covers to my computer chair and my TV chair making both much nicer to sit in for periods of an hour or more.
