Portwest PB10 Wireless GPS Locator V1
If you're a lone worker or you work in hazardous or remote locations, its crucial that your coworkers know where you are. Developed by Portwest, the innovative Portwest PB10 Wireless GPS Locator V1 is an easily attachable GPS device that uses special Sigfox technology to send data automatically once an alert button is pressed.
The Wireless Locator ensures that workers are safe. This makes the device a must-have for those involved in forestry, mountaineering or search and rescue.
How Does It Work?
The Wireless GPS Locator V1 uses technology called 'geofencing'. A virtual geographic boundary is created, and the GPS will automatically trigger a response whenever the wearer leaves the boundary. Geofencing creates a virtual perimeter in the real world, meaning that if the wearer becomes lost or disorientated, their location will be immediately known.
Sends Alerts
If the user becomes lost or disorientated, or even injures themselves while at work, the device comes with an alert button that provides the user with the option of sending up to five types of alerts. Triggering this will immediately send an alert, updating the user's location to those responsible.
Long-Lasting Design
As with any GPS device, it's crucial that the device is long lasting. A special, rechargeable li-ion polymer battery is fitted inside the Portwest PB10 GPS Locator, which can last for up to a month. The device doesn't even need a mobile or a sim card to operate, making it ideal for those working outdoors for extended periods of time.
