The Boxia Drop Foot AFO Brace has a 2-part wrap-around design making it a dynamic drop foot splint. The brace uses the latest technological advancement and materials technology to provide a drop foot support that is both modern and comfortable in its design. It also provides a comfortable and cosmetic method for treating drop foot.
How the Boxia Drop Foot AFO Brace Works
The Boxia support raises the forefoot, providing vital foot clearance during the swing phase of your gait. This reduces the risk of tripping over such everyday items such as rugs, kerbs and uneven surfaces. The Boxia encourages natural gait pattern by allowing normal ankle movement when stepping on the foot (plantar flexion).
The Boxia Ankle Brace consists of 2 separate components: a strap situated above the ankle and a non-slip hook section placed between the footwear’s tongue and laces/Velcro straps. These sections are connected by an elastic strap which provides complete adjustment of the required level of dorsiflexion (foot-lift). The ankle strap has gel padded sections for increased achilles and dorsi flexor tendon comfort.
