Ferno Combi Head Immobiliser

When immobilising a patient due to injury or an accident, it is important to ensure their head and neck is also immobilised. This is especially true when a spinal or neck injury is suspected. But there are a lot of head blocks available that lose their integrity very quickly, making it a costly thing to constantly replace.

The Ferno Combi Head Immobiliser is reusable, even if surface damage occurs. Highly durable and suitable to be used with all Ferno Scoops and Spineboards, the Combi Head Immobiliser (CHI) is an economical and supportive solution to the immobilisation problem.

Features of the Ferno Combi Head Immobiliser

The CHI is a unique design to help ensure the integrity and the durability of the product. The base-pad and strapping system helps the CHI to be an optimum fit for most people, securing the head and neck in a comfortable manner. This strapping system and head block can be adjusted to make it suitable for each of the spineboards and scoops, ensuring full support regardless of the board.

The CHI is quick and easy to apply to the spineboard and can be stored either on the spineboard or separately.

The head-block is designed to help combat infection. This is achieved by an antimicrobial VELCRO fasteners and the polyurethane moulded headblock which contains antibacterial properties throughout. The CHI can remain in place even if the patient has an X-ray or an MRI scan.
