Will the Nighttime Hypoglycaemia Alarm Work for Me?

The Nighttime Cold Sweat Alarm detects a drop in temperature coupled with an increase in moisture, which are two common symptoms of hypoglycaemia. Please be aware that the Nighttime Blood Sugar Alarm is not suitable for all diabetics and it does not guarantee 100% detection rates.

If your device does not register an attack, this does not necessarily mean that the device is faulty. Once used, we cannot accept the alarm as a return because of hygiene reasons. It is therefore important to consider this prior to purchasing.

How Does the Nighttime Low Blood Sugar Alarm Work?

The Nighttime Cold Sweat Alarm for Hypoglycaemia is a self-contained device that is worn like a watch or wristband. It incorporates two sensors that come into contact with the skin on the wrist or ankle. The sensors respond to changes in perspiration and body temperature, which are two common symptoms of low blood sugar.

If a cold sweat is detected, a built-in vibrator and tone beeper alarm will alert you. This helps ensure that you know exactly when to take remedial action – even when you've been sleeping. The watch also keeps a record of nighttime alarms, which can help you adjust your medication and prevent future nocturnal incidences.

Not Always 100% Accurate
Monday, 15 January 2018  |

We’ve only been trailing a week and when the alarm has sounded my Nans blood sugar has been normal and when she was quite low it didn’t sound. So we’re not reling on it 100% as it’s not working as suspected. Unless it takes some time to get used to the person wearing it. We will persevere and see how we get on!

Hypoglycaemia low blood sugar alarm

Basically the product is very good and
comfortable but the elastic strap is to long even for the largest wrist and inclined to be floppy with no method to secure the excess length (it just flops about) also the product arrived with no battery or instruction on how to access the battery compartment, apart from that it does what it is supposed to do.
