When a cardiac arrest occurs, around half of the victims will need a shock, but every victim requires cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The AED 3 helps guide rescuers with resuscitating a victim of sudden cardiac arrest. How Does the AED 3 Semi-Automatic Defibrillator Work?
The CPR Uni-Padz measure the rate and depth of chest compressions during CPR. The AED immediately tells rescuers how well compressions are being performed, while providing graphical and audible prompts that deliver instantaneous feedback, ensuring rescuers can perform the most effective CPR.
If a rescuer fails to deliver compressions at an adequate depth, an audible and visual prompt to "Push Harder" will be initiated. Once proper depth is reached, it is reinforced with a "Good Compressions" message.

How Clear is the Guidance from the AED 3 Defibrillator?
The full-colour display screen on the AED 3 Defibrillator produces clear, vivid rescue images for quick and easy guidance. It also displays a CPR cycle timer, and a large colour bar gauge to show CPR compression depth.
Do I Need to Constantly Look at the Screen?
When providing potentially life-saving CPR, it's only natural that you're not going to want to turn your attention away from the victim to look at the screen of the defibrillator. Can Children Receive CPR with the Zoll AED 3?

The AED also features a Wi-Fi connection, and if a fault is detected it alerts the Zoll PlusTrac AED Programme Management System, and you'll receive an email immediately to alert you of the fault.
The smart battery reports its power level status to the LCD screen to the defibrillator, while also being able to transmit it over WiFi to your AED Programme Management System. Additionally, both the smart battery and the Uni-padz can last up to five years.

Where possible, it's important that individuals can be trained on the proper use of the AED 3 Defibrillator, particularly in the work place and where designated First Aiders are present.
