It features four prongs like the traditional fork, and has a deep, rounded bowl that also acts as a spoon. I brought the Homecraft Splayed Fork for my husband who has multiple sclerosis and finds it difficult to hold cutlery in his left hand. It was a replacement for a similar device (supplier unknown) that had been passed on in the family and had broken after many years of good service.
The new fork arrived promptly and was immediately put to good use. He uses it as both a knife and a fork and it is also used for eating peas, broad beans and similar items of food.
