Video: Paul Takes A Closer Look At The Universal Pro Arm Sling

1 CommentThursday, 1 November 2012  |  Paul

Welcome to Health and Care. My name's Paul and today I'm going to be talking about the Universal Pro Arm Sling. This is a very simple sling and it's a very comfortable sling. These kind of slings are normally referred to as a collar and cuff sling or a figure of eight sling because of the shape when you're wearing them.

These kind of slings are used to treat elbow, upper arm and shoulder injuries, but always consult your physio to make sure you've got the right sling for your particular injury.

If we take a look at the construction of the sling you'll see that it looks a little bit like a Swiss roll when it arrives. Undo the Velcro and you'll see that it is one long strip of foam and it's got a small toggle here and a Velcro attachment at one end.

This Velcro will stick to absolutely anywhere on the sling making it a one size fits all item but also more importantly for you it enables you to adjust the length of the sling. This is so you can get the right elevation of your arm and wrist to make sure your injury is perfectly catered for. I'm going to pop it at the top end of the scale just there.

To fit the sling is really straightforward. Simply pop it over your head, put your arm  straight through that loop there. As you can see it's nice and secure, it's comfortable around the neck and also around the wirst.

Well, that's the Universal Pro Arm Sling. I hope you like the video. Don't forget to follow us on Twitter, Like Us on Facebook and subscrbe to our YouTube channel for more useful videos. Thanks for watching and see you next time.
