Everything You Need to Know About Moldex Masks and P3 Filters

1 CommentFriday, 28 February 2020

Moldex 7000 and 9000 Series Masks and Filters can help to reduce the chances of spreading and receiving viruses. But with a number of filters and masks available, it can be a bit confusing working out which product you need, and how exactly to use them. This guide is here to answer all your questions, and if your question isn't answered, let us know and we'll add it to the list.

Moldex Face Masks Q&A

Please click each question for more information.

Will the Moldex Face Masks Prevent Coronavirus?

It is recommended by the UK Government that FFP3 Face Masks are used for helping to reduce the risk of coronavirus being transmitted. Moldex P3 Filters meet these guidelines, are suitable for use with biological agents of risk groups 2 and 3, and will filter 99.95% of harmful particles from the air. P3 filters have 50 times OEL (occupational exposure limit), meaning that they offer maximum protection against dust, smoke and mist.

Please note that wearing P3 Masks and Filters is not an assured way to prevent coronavirus, and no face mask is a replacement for good personal hygiene. Wearing a mask will, however, reduce the risks of harmful pathogens passing through the mask and entering through your nose and mouth.

What's What on the Moldex Mask and Filters?

Our Guide on the Moldex Masks and P3 Filters

How to Buy the Correct Moldex Masks and Filters?

If you want to purchase a Moldex Face Mask to lower your chances of developing a virus, please remember:

Please note that the only difference between the two is that the 9032 Filters offers further protection against Ozone and charcoal.

Will Which Filters Do I Need for Which Mask?

As said above, BOTH filters can be used with either the 7000 Series Face Mask and the 9000 Series Face Mask.

We do sell a range of Moldex Series 7000 Masks complete with P3 9030 Filters which you can find below.

How Long Can I Use the P3 Filters For?

In usual circumstances P3 Filters should last between one month and six months. However, we stress that you replace your mask and filters as soon as any kind of damage (however minor) is found.

Do NOT attempt to repair a damaged mask

How Do I Know If My Filter is Faulty?

  • Replace if breathing becomes affected
  • Make sure that the filters are not blocked or overused
  • Clean your equipment on a daily basis

Should I Clean My Moldex Face Mask and Filters?

We recommend that you clean your Moldex Mask and Filters every single day between use. As the filters are not disposable, they will require cleaning otherwise they could pose a larger risk of becoming blocked. You can clean them with a damp cloth using mild disinfectant.

How Do I Use the Moldex Mask?

Using your Moldex Mask and P3 Filters is designed to be easy. Please do the following:

  1. Attach your P3 filters to your mask
