The first in the series kicks off with the most frequently-asked question: which size do I need for the knee brace? So Which Size Do I Need?
The support is available in seven different sizes so it's no wonder there's some confusion. But such a wide range of sizes means that you can get a more personalised fit, which will provide you with the best support and stabilisation for your condition. Finding the correct size for your Armor Brace with Fourcepoint is easy; all you need to do is take three leg measurements, as shown below. All of this can be done with a flexible measuring tape.
Sizing your Donjoy Armor Knee Brace with Fourcepoint
- Stand with your legs slightly bent and a shoulder-width apart. Your leg muscles should be contracted during this process.
- Measure up 15cm from the centre of your knee.
- At this 15cm point, wrap your tape measure around your thigh and record the area's circumference.
- Next, wrap the measuring tape around your knee at its centre directly over your patella (i.e. your kneecap) and make a note of the circumference.
- Measure down 15cm from the centre of your knee.
- For this final measurement, wrap the measuring tape around your calf at this 15cm mark and record the circumference.
