Bed Wedges From Health and

Many people across the world suffer with acid reflux or Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). These symptoms are often exasperated during the evening which can lead to an unpleasant and poor quality sleep.

Due to horizontal nature of sleeping it can often cause acid to back up the throat and larynx causing a burning pain in the chest, shortness of breath and nausea. Some research shows there is also a strong link between GERD and sleep apnoea, which leads to a huge reduction in the quality of sleep and ultimately lifestyle of the suffer.

Research from Harvard medical school(1) shows that sleeping with a large wedge shaped pillow can help in effectively managing a GERD or acid reflux related sleeping problem. The benefit is that they take pressure off the stomach area which can normally aggravate the symptoms of acid reflux.

Here at Health and we have a range of Bed Wedges that can help you with any acid relux problems during the night.

Putnams Memory Foam Bed Wedge

The Putnams Memory Foam Bed Wedge is one of the best-selling bed wedges we currently sell at Health and It has taken the classic bed wedge shape and added another level of luxury with the memory foam finish.

The Putnams Bed Wedge will help you alleviate some acid reflux symptoms by raising your head and chest which will result in a more restful night’s sleep.

In addition to this the Putnams Memory Foam Bed Wedge can also be used as a back support when sitting upright or as a leg raise.

The Putnams Memory Foam Bed Wedge is 76cm in length and 61.5cm in width. The slope at the maximum height is 15cm.

These symptoms can be exasperated during the evening especially while sleeping leading to an uncomfortable and often disrupted sleep.
