An excellent aid for reducing back pain whilst sleeping, the Original McKenzie Night Lumbar Roll works by supporting the spine when lying on your back and side. Easy to use, the night lumbar roll is simply tied around the waist to reduce pressure on the lower back and prevent strain and pain caused by poor sleeping positions.

The Original McKenzie Night Lumbar Roll Cushion is fitted with two canvas ties (one at each end of the roll) to tie around the waist and secure in place as required. To ensure good hygiene while sleeping, this lumbar roll is supplied with a washable cover.

Indications for Use

Like lying on a rolling pin

I had high hopes for this product after reading reviews online. After fracturing my lumbar spine in a car crash last August and regularly waking up in agony I was hoping that this lumbar roll would provide support to my spine and that I would be able to wake in less pain. I was so disappointed when I tried the lumbar roll and it felt like lying on a rolling pin! I tried it overnight because I thought I might just need to get used to it, but I woke up in agony again and when I put it on the next night and lay down it made my back go into spasm! I'm so disappointed as I don't know what to do now to try to avoid the pain. The service was good and delivery was prompt, no issues with this at all. A shame it's non returnable or I would definitely return it.

Having recently had problems with my back and terrible sciatic pain down my leg, I purchased the Lumbar roll to help me sleep more comfortably at night. It has been perfect, gives me support all night and allows me to sleep on my back without pain. Thank you.

Too rigid to be of any practical use and over priced for what it is, a hard roll of foam and a flimsy cloth bag

I was sceptical about whether this would make a difference to my back pain, and also whether it would be comfortable enough to sleep with. I needn't have worried....although a little awkward to tie, I woke with no back pain that first morning!

I’ve been struggling with lower back for many years, unable to find a solution that helps at night. I’d always be waking up in pain and so stiff I’d not be able to move. Initially, on the first when I received this item I couldn’t wear it for longer than 10 minutes as it was initially uncomfortable. On the second night I managed half the night before taking it off but by the third night I was able to wear it all through the night. From that third night of wearing it throughout, the morning after I instantaneously noticed reduced pain and stiffness. I have been wearing this to bed ever since and it has helped my pain tremendously! Would massively recommend this to anyone who suffers with lower back pain!!

I found it very difficult to tie the roll securely around my waist unaided. For me it works better just laid across the bed. I can position it perfectly for my back and amazingly it doesn't move around in the night.
