When you work with patients who suffer from low or limited mobility, they might need additional help with turning or moving around in bed to prevent the build up of pressure. The Swift UltraSlide Base and Slider Sheet Pack is designed with low friction material to ensure the patient remains safe even when they are moving around in bed.

As a carer, you are at an increased risk of suffering from an injury to the neck, shoulder or back, particularly if you move, turn or lift patients. The Half Length 4Way Slider Sheet allows you to position patients easily without having to lift the patient. The sheets help reduce the force required to turn or reposition bed-bound patients and residents.

When you perform care tasks for dozens of patients each day, it can be difficult keeping up with each patient's individual needs and requirements. The Swift UltraSlide Base Sheet and Half Length 4Way Slider Sheet are each designed with distinct patterns and colours on the back to prevent them from becoming mixed up in the wash. While the included base sheet is constructed with a central blue panel, the included slider sheet features a yellow backing, allowing you to see at a glance which sheet is which.

Wash and Dry Guidelines

Washing Instructions

In line with infection control guidelines, the Swift sheets should be washed prior to use. This also ensures an optimum fit for the first use.

Please treat these sheets as a synthetic and therefore use a standard cycle for synthetic fabrics
Suitable for use in a continuous batch washer (CBW)
Maximum main wash temperature: 90°C (65 - 71°C or above achieves thermal disinfection)
It is advised that the load should be around 85 - 90% of the washer capacity for washing and drying
In washer extractors, use a reverse temperature wash process to avoid thermal shock or creasing
Operating the final rinse at around 40°C facilitates faster evaporation rates during tumbling
Please wash as 100% polyester or 50/50 polyester/cotton

Drying Instructions

Please note that exact settings will vary by dryer
As a guideline, dryers should be able to dry a load in 20 to 30 minutes at a medium to high heat (including a cool down time of approximately five minutes)
Please remove the load as soon as the dry cycle is completed to avoid over drying

Additional Information

Please avoid the use of bleach as this can cause colour loss
Do not over dry as this can accelerate deterioration, increase creasing and cause excessive shrinking
Do not iron as this can damage the natural stretch of the fabric
